Children Mending Hearts has served the city of Los Angeles for the past ten years, combating bullying and intolerance by inspiring empathy in children through art and service-learning programs. It seeks to empower at-risk children in the United States by connecting them with other children both here in the United States and around the world.
Since 2002, Little Kids Rock has been dedicated to putting music back in schools. We provide students with free musical instruments and instruction that focuses on their favorite popular music styles, including rock, blues, rap and hip-hop. So far, over 1,200 schools in more than 23 cities nationwide have benefited from a Little Kids Rock program, and the response from kids, parents and teachers has been phenomenal.
Mission: Grassroot Soccer uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities to stop the spread of HIV.
“Grassroot Soccer’s work is a refreshing and highly promising effort that can help turn the tide against HIV. Soccer is like a universal language… Grassroot Soccer thus reaches large numbers of young people with HIV education, and bases its programs on the best available evidence.”
– Helen Epstein, author, The Invisible Cure
“Guided by our mission, we launched the global moonshot to reimagine the #equalfuture – a bold new way to accelerate women’s leadership that is about dignity, equality, and choice. Together we can do more, and we are working creatively and collaboratively for an equitable future.”
Music for Relief was founded by the band Linkin Park in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Throughout its first twelve years, thanks to incredible artist partners, donors and supporters, Music for Relief responded to numerous natural disasters across six continents providing immediate relief and funding long-term recovery with a focus on sustainability. Always thinking about collaboration, in March of 2018, Music for Relief announced it would join forces with Entertainment Industry Foundation. Building on EIF’s historic commitment to furthering the philanthropic efforts of the entertainment community, Music for Relief continues to respond in the wake of natural disasters globally, working with partners on the ground to support immediate relief and long-term recovery.
